Why I do what I do

Do you have a distorted relationship with food and a negative body image? If yes, I am right there with you. 

I battled this most of my life. 

I am a Certified Hormone Health and Certified Breath Coach with a commitment to help women manage their meals and mindset to restore their gut and heal hormone imbalance. 

Reaching my 40s, I am driven by a goal to feel confident with my body shape, be comfortable with letting my mind or body rest and enjoy the feeling of a full, healthy meal in my belly. 

I am not 100% there yet, but I have come a long way. 

Starving myself in my adolescence, obsessive exercising, branding myself as “The Hardest Worker” in my adulthood was a big part of my story and how I got to where I am today. 

Today, I slow down when my body feels like it needs a rest, I rarely skip meals, I no longer let work control my personal life and I embrace the moments where I can take in a deep breath and feel life with each inhale and exhale. 

However, it wasn’t easy getting here alone. 

My journey started with sugar imbalances that led to black outs and seizures, severe digestive distress after every meal, adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, SIBO and gut dysbiosis, nutrient deficiencies, vertigo, brain fog and a body full of aches and exhaustion. 

After depleting my efforts with the conventional medical system, I took matters into my own hands. I needed answers. 

I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and completed my studies and certification as a health coach. I furthered my studies with a specialty in hormone health and was later certified as a breath coach. 

My studies gave me the foundation of knowledge to begin my nutritional and mindful healing expedition.

Studiously digging deeper into hormone health research, I uncovered the power of the gut-hormone connection. The gut is the foundation to overall health and my gut was destroying my chances of ever sustaining a healthy balance. 

Expanding my studies around gut health, inflammation and the gut-brain connection is what solidified the success behind my coaching and my own healing process. 

I am happy to announce that I have not had a hypoglycemia attack in years, my thyroid hormones are balanced without synthetic medication and my digestive system is feeling the benefits of my gut restoration practices. 

My approach is rich in delicious ways to eat for optimal gut-hormone health in a fast food and fast paced society. I utilize supplements and herbs based on individual needs and symptoms. Most importantly, I implement practical and easy ways to apply breathing practices that accommodate the body's need for relaxation or stimulation. 

I find my purpose in life by sharing my expertise and helping other women break free from the frustration of feeling insecure in their body. Feeling alive and living each day to the fullest is a gift that every lady deserves.
